Although the color of plastic has no effect on DNA amplification, we recommend using white plastic PCR Consumables or matte treated plastic PCR Consumables to achieve sensitive and accurate fluorescence detection when setting up real-time fluorescent quantitative PCR reactions compared to transparent PCR Consumables.White PCR Consumables improve data sensitivity and consistency by preventing fluorescence refraction from the tubes. When refraction is minimized, more signals are reflected back to the detector, thereby increasing the SNR. In addition, the white tube wall prevents the fluorescence signal from being transmitted to the PCR instrument module, avoiding absorption or inconsistent reflection of the fluorescence signal, thus minimizing the difference in repeated experiments.
The shape of a PCR plate refers to its height, so "low profile" means lower height. The shorter design of low-volume PCR Consumables minimizes the space above the reaction system, reduces the impact of evaporation and improves heat transfer efficiency. Therefore, in the case of simultaneous compatibility, it is recommended to choose low volume PCR Consumables, i.e., "fast" or low plate.
